Origins​

The company’s origins trace back to founder David Hill’s early exposure to entrepreneurship. Raised in a family that built a successful electrical contracting business, he learned first-hand the value of financial discipline, quality craftsmanship, and strategic growth. After studying Materials Science at Imperial College London, David made a deliberate choice to return to Walsall, where he saw the untapped potential in revitalising businesses and commercial spaces in the region.

Over the years, David led projects that transformed disused buildings into thriving commercial hubs, developed residential spaces from neglected properties, and guided businesses toward financial stability and expansion. However, he became increasingly frustrated by the short-sighted nature of traditional investment models. Many businesses secured funding but still struggled due to a lack of financial oversight, operational strategy, or technological support.
 

Aims

Hills SI was created to change that. Unlike traditional investors, the company takes an active role in the businesses it supports, offering financial management, IT infrastructure, and strategic guidance alongside investment capital. Its mission is to empower entrepreneurs, revitalise businesses, and create sustainable economic growth across the West Midlands.
